MC Profile: Philip Smyth, award winning physicist and an engineer, loving all things weird, wonderful and explosive
We are thrilled to welcome back Philip Smith as MC for CoderDojo Coolest Projects for a second year.
Phil is an award winning physicist and an engineer, loving all things weird, wonderful and explosive. He is a broadcaster and presenter with RTÉ having written and presented on over 160 shows like Insiders, Swipe TV, The Mountain and Pop Goes the Weekend.
Phil is the Head of Cool Planet Experience based at Powerscourt House and Gardens in Wicklow, which is due to open in 2018. Here he runs the education and engagement program. It’s a great place to have some fun but as a necessity to inform people of the importance of climate change and what they can do to really make a difference.
When not working, Phil goes to extremes to relax. This means you can find him flying around on a segway, jetski or a horse but not necessarily at the same time.
