For both the tech-curious and those seeking a fun family day out, the world-leading technology showcase will take place on Saturday 2 March at The Sharp Project in Manchester
Sponsored by Atom Bank, the day’s activities will include inspiring inventions, fun hands-on activities, and fascinating talks about technology.
Here’s everything you need to know!
Highlights on the day
Over 80 tech inventions will be on display, presented by more than 125 young coders from across the UK.
Entrants will have the chance to share their work with the public and present their ideas to judges in different categories, and outstanding projects are celebrated with an awards ceremony at the end of the day.
CBeebies Do You Know? star Maddie Moate will lead the awards ceremony, alongside Blue Peter Science Guy, Greg Foot.
The TV-presenting duo will also be entertaining the crowds with exciting presentations and talks on science and technology.
Maddie will present a talk on how Lego is made, while Greg will give a presentation on climbing Mount Everest.
Greg, who presented at Coolest Projects UK 2018 in London, says, “I can’t wait to get back to Coolest Projects again this year to learn what the next generation of techies are coming up with.”
“If last year is anything to go by, the kids at Coolest Projects are awesome entrepreneurs, designers, hackers, coders,” he said, “and their projects are just mind-blowingly brilliant!”
As well as Maddie and Greg, lots of other people and groups will be offering a great choice of fun activities and interesting talks and presentations throughout the day.
