Coolest Projects is a world-leading showcase that empowers and inspires the next generation of digital creators, innovators, changemakers, and entrepreneurs. Coolest Projects takes place in the United Kingdom, Ireland, and North America. There are also regional events all around the world, led by amazing community partners and friends of the Raspberry Pi Foundation.

We’re thrilled to invite you to Coolest Projects North America, at the Discovery Cube Orange County in Santa Ana, California on Sunday, September 23, 2018!

Coolest Projects is for young innovators who make stuff with technology. If you’re between 7 and 17 and making something cool with technology for fun, to solve a problem, or as a creative outlet, then we want you to come out and share your projects with us!

Here’s how to get involved

Make a project and register to showcase

Coolest Projects is open to young people aged 7 to 17. Register your project to participate in the showcase in Southern California with hundreds of other young tech creators from around the country. Click here to learn about the different project categories.

The project registration form is simple, and you should complete it with the adult accompanying you to the event. The deadline to register projects is August 2, 2018 has been extended to August 31, 2018!

Each successful project registration gives free event entry to the young person or team presenting the project, plus one parent/guardian. All others wishing to attend need to pre-book their ticket.

 

Apply for a travel stipend

Our goal is to have projects from all over North America at the showcase. Thanks to the amazing support of our sponsors, we’re offering travel stipends to help you offset the costs associated with travel to the event.

In order to be eligible for a travel stipend, you must be present and showcasing a project at Coolest Projects North America on September 23, 2018.

More on project submissions

All projects from beginner to advanced level are accepted. Coolest Projects wants to recognize the effort and creativity of young people who have had an idea and worked to make it a reality using whatever skills and materials they have. Join us and share your Scratch animation, website, game, robot, or any other project you’ve built that uses code.

Don’t worry if your project is not 100% complete — prototypes and works-in progress are welcome, so bring what you have developed so far! Coolest Projects is all about the experience and about the learning you gain from participating and showcasing what you’ve created.

 

General admission tickets are available

Attend Coolest Projects and see young people from around the world exhibit their designs and inventions. You will also hear from creative technology experts, learn some new skills, and have a lot of fun! Be sure to get your tickets on Eventbrite today— supplies are limited.
